The Zeitgeist Movement is the activist arm of the The Venus Project. Our goal is to bring about a societal shift that will enable all people to reach their highest human potential by eliminating the traditions, ideologies, misconceptions and fears that have prevented humanity from doing so in the past. We will achieve this goal through the application of science to the cause of human concern, in order to provide for all people the necessities of life and enable them to pursue their natural desire for cooperation, investigation, exploration and emotional expression. Throughout our history, we have survived in conditions of scarcity and technological insufficiency. However, with the recent advents of major scientific breakthroughs and technological capabilities, we can now provide a comfortable yet meaningful life to all people, regardless of arbitrary conditions of birth. We can only, as a species, accept this way of life when we recognize the fundamental truths of an emergent universe and the symbiotic nature of all life on earth. We must overcome the arbitrary divisions that we had to forge in our adolescence because these institutions are inhibitive to the progress of our society as a whole. Barring some cataclysmic event or revelation, the survival of the human species is in our own hands, and we must choose to continue to destroy our life support systems and each other, or to work together for our very survival. We, of the Zeitgeist Movement choose survival, and we hope that you join us.
